Directions please

I just moved to Oregon last year and finally got legal permission to work. Would someone kindly point me the directions I have to take in terms of paperwork with getting a licenced to work? I'm a nurse from another country. I was told I need to convert my licence and take an exam as well as convert my school diplomas?
