Dilute Urine

I have been accepted into a Nursing program and have taken two drug tests. Both have come back "outside the parameters". Too dilute to read. I don't understand why this is happening. But yesterday they told me I didn't even have to stay for orientation. They will have to convene the board about me. I'm crushed. I pleaded with them to allow me to do a blood test. "We'll see." Can you give me some reason this test could be doing this?

Outside of some renal abnormality, I can only imagine that you're drinking way too much fluid around the time of the urine tests. While staying hydrated is great for your body, it can look suspicious on drug tests. They probably think you're either purposely chugging water to dilute your urine, or adding water to your sample somehow. I'm sure neither is true, but next time you have to take a drug test, try limiting your fluids that day. Good luck with everything.
