Difficulty Finding a New Job

I've been an RN w/BSN for a year and a half now in a rehabilitation&long term care facility in MA. I work on the rehabilitation side). I applied everywhere and this was the only position offered to me after nursing school. Ultimately, I would like to work in a hospital setting. Now that I have a bit of experience I started applying to hospitals again but have gotten so down on myself because I never hear back. What's wrong with me!? I live close to CT and I want to start applying there, will they even consider my application without a CT license in hand or do I need to get a CT license first?!
