Diabetes Educators

Are there any nurses out there that do diabetes education? If so how did you get into this field and what type of background do you have? If you're not an educator but work specifically in this area how do you like it and how did you end up in this area? What challenges do you find on a daily basis? Does your facility offer special training for nurses in this area? I ask all these questions because I am a current nursing student who has fallen in love with this area. I'd really like to hear from any nurses that can offer some insight. Thank you.
