Denver VA

Anyone here work at the Denver VA or know anyone who does? Wondering what the staffing and job satisfaction are like. I am weighing whether to transfer there or get out of the VA system and work somewhere else, probably Colorado Springs if I do that.

My lab instructor has been an RN in the OR at the Denver VA for 7 or 8 years and she absolutely loves it. She's always telling us stories about the people she works with and how much she enjoys her job. I haven't been there yet myself but a friend of mine just finished a 6 week clinical there and loved it.

I hope someone has some first hand experience for you :) Good luck with your decision!

Also, a new VA hospital is supposed to be built in Denver over the next few years. I wonder if that will mean they need more nurses?
