Denver College of Nursing ADN Program- October 2018

Is there anyone else on this board who is trying to complete the ADN program at Denver College of Nursing? I recently submitted my application for the ADN program and I am just sitting and waiting. Time is going so slow! :-D

Hey! I just posted on another thread, but, yes, I applied to the October ADN program! I'm so excited to hear something soon!

Do you know how long it takes to hear back? The website says 6 weeks, but I feel like I read somewhere that its sooner? :-)

I actually got an interview email today! I know the website does say it can take up to six weeks. Hopefully, you'll be hearing something soon!! I am going to set an interview up but I am still undecided as whether I want to attend there or not. Do you know anybody personally who is a student there?

Oh, that's awesome!! Great news!! When did you submit your application? I do not know anyone who is currently enrolled there. At least not in the ADN program. Ill let you know if I come across anyone who is a student there. :-)

Thank you! I submitted my application on May 12. Please let me know when you hear something!! Hang in there, waiting can be hard! Good luck!

Hey! I got my interview email this morning. Im in a bit of a pickle though. I was planning on applying to Arapahoe and FRCC at the end of the year.

The tuition makes me wanna apply to ACC and FRCC so bad. Those are both really great schools. Hmmmm, what to do.

I'm in the same situation! I was planning on applying to both those schools as well for the spring start! I really am torn! The cost of tuition kills me but what if I don't get on at FRCC...I think I'm goong to go to the interview and at least see what it's all about!

All these schools have different requirements! Its so hard trying to keep track sometimes. Lol. Why cant they all just have universal requirements!? :-P

I feel the same way! I decided to go with DCN because their Nclex pass rates are quite a bit higher than FRCC and Arapahoe. Also, the program will end a whole year earlier than FRCC. Have you decided what you are going to do??

DCN actually has a slightly lower NCLEX pass rate compared to ACC. If you do the math on both the schools' numbers, ACC is 1 point higher percentage. ACC tested more students.

I plan on going to the interview, but I am still on the fence about it. I have a lot of my classes done for ACC/FRCC already. My MAT 103 and some of my electives wont transer to DCN.

If I go to DCN it would end up taking longer to get my BSN. Their online RN to BSN program is longer than other schools. Im not 100% sure if DCN's credits will work for other RN to BSN programs other than their own.

That's a bummer that some of your credits won't transfer. Good luck in whatever you decide to do!!
