The practice of nursing by a registered nurse is the process of diagnosing human responses to actual or potential health problems, providing supportive and restorative care, health counseling and teaching, case finding and referral, along with collaboration in implementation of a health care regimen and executing the medical regimen under the direction of a licensed physician, dentist or advanced practice registered nurse.
What makes me the nurse I am today---the education I received as nursing assistant, practical nursing program, BSN program, continuing eduation programs: tutelage of 100's nurses aides, nurses, nurse educators and lived experiences caring for family members, patients, clients...and knowledge gleamed at allnurses daily.
