Declaration into KPU's new nursing program for fall 2017.

Hello everyone,

I am about to declare into Kwantlen's new nursing program for fall of 2017. I was wondering who else is applying to the program and with what GPA? I am really stressed at the moment because I have no idea what GPA I should be aiming for. Currently, my GPA is around 3.4 , so I was thinking if I stand a good chance of getting in or should I be redoing some of my courses in summer for a better chance. Is anyone else dealing with the same situation?

Hey I'm starting the Health Foundations program (to complete my pre-reqs) and then plan to declare into the nursing program as well. I hope its ok if I ask you some questions. What classes did you take your first semester? How long did it take you to complete everything? How was your experience at the Langley campus?

Hey, I got into the health foundations program during it's first intake. Before getting in I had already done some of the prerequisites while I was doing another program at kpu. When the classes first opened, I took all the health courses and then the next semester I took my other requirements. Depending on what classes you have done in the past, the time it takes to complete all requirements can vary (took me 4 semesters). Overall, langley campus is mostly quite and there is almost no entertainment (very nursing focused). Therefore, I would suggest u take your non-health related courses at the surrey campus if you can. Besides that, I got in with a gpa of 3.4.

Thanks for replying. Really appreciate your input. Just picked my classes today and chose my electives at the surrey campus. Congrats on getting in the program! I'll probably see you around the langley campus.
