DEA Wait Time

Anyone recently apply for an inital DEA license? What was your wait time? I know the site is saying 4-6 weeks but I just wanted to see how long others have waited. Thanks!

I was told 4-6 weeks but it only really took 1 week for the initial. This was back in March of this year. They may be more inandated during this time of the year due to the Apr/May graduates. Hope this helps.

Thanks!

I don't recall it being any more than 2 to 4 weeks. Make sure you scan a copy and save it as a pdf. You might need it every so often. I still dig out old documents from time to time. Keep hard-to-get NP documents close by. Oh, and congrats!!

I think much depends on your regional DEA office. I have a classmate who experienced a 10 week delay.

I applied late Friday night and had a DEA number/license available online today with a hard copy on it's way with an ETA of 5-7 days. DEA FTW!

I applied through the DEA website on 06/05/12 and received my DEA registration in the mail today (06/09/12).

I live in NC. Got mine in 3 days!
