DC Licence

sorry license

hi everyone,

first i want tothank you everyone from this forum, ican't tell you how much i like it and i am so excited to get to know and beingfamiliar with this forum.

i've been waiting for my rn dc lic (byendorsement) since march the 23rd and still nothing , i did my cbc and also thehistory of my cbc(it's requirment when you are va resident). i need my dc licfor my job by april 16th. i called the dc bon and they told me it can take 4weeks before they receive my cbc results???

It took me about a month before I got my license. I did end up calling the Board after a few weeks, they had all of my paperwork (and CBC) and I think by calling, they pushed the paperwork through the final steps. I would call maybe Wednesday or Thursday, and if not, try to look into getting a temporary license.

Matrix- Were you able to get a temporary license?? I am starting a job next Monday and was just hired two weeks ago and still don't have my RN license for DC! I have been calling all week about getting a temporary license and they told me before they can administer a temp license they need the results of my criminal background check- which hasn't gone through yet and like you said could take 4 weeks.. I am freaking out! I don't understand because it seems like some people that I have seen posting on this forum just went right in to the DC board of nursing and came out with a temp license- it hasn't been that easy for me! Any help would be greatly appreciated!
