Dayshift Only

Hi!

I will soon be re-locating to another state in 2021, and am looking at possibilities of RN positions that are day shift only. I am a RN with 10 years of NICU experience, and love it. But I am near 40 and cannot do nights (ever again) now that I am on days. My family and my body do not like nights (no more zombie mommy).

I would like to explore what my options are. I do not want to do management. Some on-call will be fine. Exploring ideas like PACU or Hospice, or clinic. I understand Hospice work is a calling, and I am being pulled in that direction a bit, but exploring all my options. Any advice?

Thanks!

Lots of things you can do on dayshift: hospital work or dialysis, clinic, occ health, corrections, really an open door there.

Day shifts are generally harder to find then rotating or night shifts but they are possible to find! I understand that.....I did nights for years and adjusted but this second go around turned me into an exhausted, irritable, not very alert human being! I have also said never again on nights! I am in a pre-op/PACU position which is all days now....only nights are the occasional on call....only one holiday a year and nearly no weekends! Pretty sweet deal! A lot of surgical nursing jobs are day shift positions.
