cvs process time

hi everybody,

my cvs process for cgfns is going on. please can anyone help me to answer the questions below?

1. how long cgfns takes to review once it gets documents from my college and licensing body back home?

2.after cgfns submits report to newyork bon how long it takes me to appear in nclex exam?

I started my CVS process last december, and its taking long time.:yawn: I wanted to know the time period so that I could start my nclex preparation.

    1. Read on www. cgfns.org - cvs for new york state. I'm not from New York, but I had my CES report done from CGFNS too. After CGFNS received my documents from my school and licensing agency abroad, it took 5 weeks before they sent the report to State BON. All in all, it took around 2 months to process my credentials from CGFNS till BON received the report.

    2. You need to apply and get eligible first in New York BON before you can register to pearsonvue and wait for your ATT, so you can schedule and sit for the nclex exam.

    CVS takes approx 6 months depending on how quickly they receive everything back to them, if the get everything back sooner they will send it to the NY BON sooner.Once applied to the NY BON and they receive CVS it may take 2 months as they generally meet once a month to assess international nurses.
