Any advice is greatly appreciated.
I am a recent high school grad, but will finish my AA in nursing in the spring of 2010. Is it best to go ahead and get my BS degree or start out enlisted and work my way up. I've talked to a couple of recruiters but no one has been much help. Is there anyway that I can go ahead and join but finish my school first???
thanks!

If you plan on going active duty wait and finish your BSN. It is hard to finish your BSN while on active duty. The ways you can join is by going ROTC or another type of health care scholarship. If you plan on going Army you can get your commission in the reserves and go to school at the same time. The Army does have the STRAP progam which can help pay for school & you are non-deployable while you are attending.
Before you think about joining one service over another you should talk with the healthcare recruiters for the Army, Navy, & Air Force first. I do not know what recruiters that you have spoken with, but if they are your hometown recruiters they are more interested in getting you in as an enlisted member vs officer.
