CSUN ABSN Spring 2019

Hi!

I'm just finishing the application process. Have you completed the volunteer form yet, not entirely sure what they want as documentation.

I got the program I did volunteer work for to do an audit of my hours on official letterhead that I'll be sending in with my application materials.

Were you able to send your TEAS? I couldn't find it as an option for schools to submit my scores to.

Hey everyone! I'm applying as well, but I wish they gave us an earlier heads up about the application period. In regards to the questions above - I didn't see volunteer hours and TEAS exam as requirements??

The volunteer docs are there in the apply section...it's most likely not required, but if this program is as competitive as other ABSNs it's probably the only thing that will set us apart from one another. I don't see anything about the TEAS, but that's such a standard thing that I'm assuming they'll ask us for it eventually.

I agree! I feel so rushed but I guess it is what it is. Volunteer hours aren't required but they are encouraged. I work full time and didn't have the time or energy to volunteer I'm hoping this doesn't effect me too negatively !

Are you all leaving this application checklist empty (not marking it up...obviously we should fill in the top portion)? I can't tell if its for US to mark off our stuff, or if its for them to use as they go over our applications.

I finished mine fall 2017!

So weird thing just happened - did the online application and went to print it after I had already paid and submitted it. There are definitely sections that it did not have me fill out that are now just blank (College Prep, High School, etc) and it also has a "no" for transferable credits when I obviously replied "yes". Did anyone else come across this? I'm going to try to call tomorrow and hopefully get a hold of someone.

I was wondering the same thing. Do we leave it blank for them to check off while they are reviewing our application?

I would just check off the boxes as you gather your materials. I called the office and they gave me a confusing answer....but basically the list is there to help both applicants and administration stay organized. We are overthinking it...
