I know our next orientation is still 2 months away, but just wanted to remind you to start your stuff soon!! Get your titers, your shots, start your step 2 TB test (if needed), your background check, your physical and pay for your ATI if you need to!

I am waiting to receive "the call" from UNLV in July. I can't wait to compare Fall2011 CSN experiences to my own at UNLV for fall ....if I get in that is.

I've already gotten almost everything done and started. I still need to do the CPR cert., have you done that yet? I can't wait to do the more fun stuff like attach my patches, get our books and most importantly pick out a stethoscope color LOL
Only thing I have to do is get my TB test and my last Hep B shot. I did everything else for the spring semester. Make sure when you get the books you park as close as you can to the bookstore, that box is heavy! If you go to Scrubtastic they sew on patches for like $5 each! What color stethoscope do you want? My daughter picked out a pink one for me*L* It was my Christmas present from my in laws! This is where I got mine http://www.medisave.net/littmann-stethoscopes/littmann-classic-ii-se-stethoscope.html
Thanks for the tip about the patches, I had no idea where to go! I was at the vaccine center and they said there is no way to have that last Hep B shot done by the time school starts - do you know if that's right? I can't recall if they said it was mandatory or not. The pink stethoscope is pretty. I thought I had settled on pine green but I was at La Isla Uniforms the other day and saw it in person and it seemed really dull. Now I'm thinking purple, raspberry or seafoam.

As long as you have the 1st two shots you can do clinicals and either get the third one sometime during the semester or even wait til between semesters. The 1st two are the most important, the third one can kinda be done anytime, as long as not too soon after getting the 1st 2.
Yeah, the first 2 shots will still get you your clinical ticket. You will have to have the last one before second semester though! The pink one I got isn't there anymore. It's the breast cancer awareness one, darker than what's on there! Also you can get a %10 discount at Scrubtastic too with student ID!

Do we need to pay for the ATI test if we signed up for the simulations?
Sorry I didn't see this before, I was out of town!
