Does any one know of any hospitals that have a nurse anesthetist program that will train you for free if you agree to work for them for a certain amount of time?

I believe (actually am fairly sure) that the army will. You'd join with your BSN as an officer and they will train you. YOu must be commisioned for 6 years (again, I believe). Look it up and let me know what you think!

Rush University in Chicago has several different programs for reimbursement, some scholarships for employees, and some amounts of tuition reimbursement for currently enrolled employees. I would check out thier financial aid page and or call there to see what they offer, I hear alot of thier own employees seem to get accepted over "outside" students, but that is probably just rumors but who knows, worth looking into if you're interested in living in Chicago!

Missouri State in Springfield, Missouri is a free program for the clinical section (you work for it), however, the first semester at the college is around $7000. It's a 30 Month program.

In Dallas Parkland Hospital offers a program, but u have to be a Ft employee for 2 years before entering the CRNA program, and they only pay u $20,500 total. So, first semester is $10,000, second 5k, & 3rd 5.5k. That's it. John Peter Smith Hospital in Fort Worth had a program similar to this once upon a time.

Specializes in ICU.

Also at Missouri State, St. John's (the hospital the program partners with) will give you a monthly stipend during school if you will work there, but if you dont work there, or they dont have the need for you, you have to pay it back in 30 days.

But if you don't end up working there, almost always another hospital that you sign on with will pay that off as part of your sign on bonus. (at Missouri State)
