Hi there, does anyone know if getting the flu vaccine a must for the CPNE? I am pregnant( about 6 weeks) and was wondering if it's a must or if I can opt out due to my condition, also, I always have positive ppd due to the bcg vaccine I had when I was younger, my last chest X-ray was done in January 2011, some institutions would accept one as old as five years, don't know what EC requires, please does anyone know? I really can't have no chest X-ray now because of being pregnant.

The flu vaccine is recommended for pregnant women, as long as you get the one that is safe for or pregnant women (not the mist). You can have your abdomen shielded for a chest x-ray. I think some of the requirements might be specific to each facility, but you should call EC and check. I know plenty of people who have done their CPNE while pregnant. Good luck!
Thank you, Ms Pixie RN as always.

Interesting Pixie.RN. I just started a thread asking if anyone was pregnant while taking CPNE. I don't want to wait for a baby but I guess I worry about all the pressure put on that one weekend and then dealing with pregnancy at the same time. I mean, that pregnancy brain is killer!
I plan on taking it at the end of march although am yet to turn in my application the application process, requires a lot of documentation and putting things together, am hoping I can get a cancellation once I get a date, am really preparing right now.
