Cover letter help?

Would like some feedback on this generic cover letter, if I may. I'll customize it to the job I'm applying to but would like a baseline to work from. I am aware the second paragraph needs some work, just not sure how to target it.

I am writing to express my interest in the position advertised on your website for (X). I have experience caring for cardiothoracic surgery, neurosurgery, and vascular surgery post-op patients as well as general cardiac, neurologic, and medical patients from my experience at (current workplace). I have greatly enjoyed the dual challenge of caring for patients in two separate specialties as well as general medical patients and would be pleased to apply my experience caring for patients at your facility.

My responsibilities included providing care for up to five high-acuity post-surgical and medical management patients, delegation to a team consisting of aides, respiratory therapists, and specialty RNs, and cardiac telemetry monitoring for patients with potentially unstable heart rhythms. As a part of my care responsibilities, I administered medications, conducted and charted focused assessments, provided skilled nursing care to include IV, catheter, and NG tube insertion as well as surgical wound care.

As an employee, I am pleased to report that at this facility I have earned the (hospital) Service Excellence award for providing high-quality patient care. At all workplaces at which I have been employed and the opportunity for recognition was available, I have received similar awards for service and dedication to my patients. My charge RNs report a high level of satisfaction with my dedication and support for the team, and during the past few months secondary to staffing shortages I have agreed to work an average of 50 additional hours per month in order to support my teammates.
