course for IV

I would like to take a course in IV therapy placement, proper use of equipment ............I live in the NY area and would like to know if anyone knows how I can sign up for one...........I graduate from school and may and will be taking my license but I would like to start finding out about course for IV therapy and how to become certified so I can sign up soon thanks so much

Hi, Angelique! Hope this response is not too late and will be helpful to you. I work in New Jersey and the hospital that I work for mandates that all RNs are IV Certified. They have porvided the course and we had to take the exams too. Maybe NYC hospitals offer them... you might want to check them out. Also, check PACE university I know that they offer a lot of courses, their website is https://appserv.pace.edu/lienhard
