Good afternoon,
I am a recent LPN graduate from Alberta. I have been working in the field of mental health and addictions for years, and now that I have my nursing diploma would like to explore correctional/forensic nursing. I know that I will need my RN degree to fully work full scope in that specialty, which I am unable to start until I have my 1700 hours of LPN service. I was wondering if anyone can provide some advice on opportunities to explore or classes to take.
Thanks!

Apply to work as an LPN in corrections. The reman in Edmonton usually has vacancies
Yes I have seen many but unfortunately I'm in Calgary
There are corrections in Calgary. They may post only under rhe Corrections heading on the AHS site. Federal also hires
