Corizon and polygraph testing

Published

I'm wondering if Corizon requires a pre employment polygraph test for RNs? Nothing was mentioned about this but on the background check paper work it said it's a possibility but the paperwork appears that it could be for anyone working at the prison.

Any input would be appreciated! Thank You!

Any law can have an exception to it but federal law does not allow a polygraph as a condition of employment. There is a section on the federal labor law posters that all employers are required to post. It the poster that tells about the minimum wage and workers comp.

I work for Corizon and they do not require polygraph testing.

Not trying to hijack a thread, but by any chance do you work in Corizons in Fl ?

I work in FL for Corizon, and they do not polygraph. They don't even drug test. They just do the required background check for whatever level facility you will be working at.

I have a question about Corizon; how much is there pay and do they offer benefits and stabilty? What kind of tours do they have? Thanks. I am from NYC and Rikers facilities outsourse their medical division to Corizon. Thanks again :_)

I think that the pay varies from state to state... you would have to have a fellow NYer answer that one, as far as the hours (I am guessing you meant hours and not tours?) Some states work 12 and some work 8. It was listed on the Corizon site when I filled out the application for employment. We do 8's here though.
