Contract

What should I expect in the contract? Can I ask them to change something if I think it is a deal breaker? My recruiter mumbled "a verbal contract is legal and binding" at the end of our last conversation. I haven't even seen my written contract yet. If I don't feel comfortable enough to sign it I'm not traveling but will they try to sue me for something I haven't seen in writing.

I Always Keep Notes On What Is Agreed To Verbally And Have Sent Back Contracts That Were Incorrect. My Recruiter Has Always Been Straight With Me, So I Stay With Her. If I Ever Had A Recruiter Say "a Verbal Contract Is Legal And Binding" I Would Get Another Agency, However , Trust Is A Two Way Street. If You Cancel A Contract Because You Want To Go Home, You Will Pay Big $. Many Years Ago When I Signed Up For The Army, I Realized In Boot Camp I Made A Big Mistake But Said To Myself, It Was For Only 4 Years. I Made The Best Of It-life Long Friends, Personal Growth, And Experiences I Still Won't Tell My Grown Children. Make The Best Of It-learn, Grow, And Explore With New Friends. It's Only 13 Weeks.

Michellex, I just took my first assignment and I am regretting it. I didn't get an interview at the hospital. If I had known then what I know now, I would have stayed where I"m at. One day the conditions are good, the next day, horrible. The people are wonderful though for the most part. I feel some days I'm bogging them down. Make sure you get an interview and everything is in writing. Find out staffing ratios and conditions. Good luck. I have been told that nothing is solid unless it is in writing.
