Continuing my education

I am finishing my ASN and am wondering if I should get some experience as an RN before going for my BSN or if I should just continue on with school at this point. In talking with nurses who are currently pursuing their BSN, it sounds like it is difficult to get back in school mode after you have been working for a while. What do you think?

Typo - ADN, not ASN.

Maybe you can work part time or PRN as a RN while you get your BSN. That way you can get some experience, and it may be easier (financially) to get your BSN with some income coming in. Also, you will still be in school mode.

That is what I plan to do in the future. I am still waiting on an acceptance letter for the ASN program, but once I get in that is my plan!

You should get some experience and take pre reqs for what you need for BSN, can also go part-time. I'm going to school to complete my RN - BSN online. It is so much easier with our type of work schedule. With experience, you will be more ahead of your classmates too.
