Continueing Education

Hi, I just recently got my Associates degree but in Medical Assistant I am a Certified Nursing Assistant als, now i am doing my Bachelors in Healthcare Administration. Where i am going with this is that i want to be able to manage my own business and as i was thinking that after i get this bachelors degree i could get together with one or two friends or maybe even my own daughters and get a business going. I like to do private care. My question is will that work? Can i go get a business license and go that route or what would be the best advice that anyone can give me out there. Maybe like i said a home based business or a home where i can bring in a few patients and care for them but have my employees. I am not thinking anything big , i think that maybe start of with 6 patients or so. I know that after finishing my bachelors i will further my education but i am not sure what i would be taking. I like mental health but i am still doing my research. PLEASE HELP? Thank you

My advise would be to work or volunteer in the type of private care business you would like to own someday. This will give you first hand experience on how things are done. As for getting a business license you'll just need to pay a fee and register a tax id number for the business, obtain a ficticious business name/DBA (doing business as), local business license, and decide whether you want to be a sole proprietor, partnership, LLC etc. plus several other licenses related to opening a private care business.
