Is it possible to get a job while on probation. and when do the test results come back from first lab.

Featured Replies

Yes, you can find a job while on probation, but as you most likely surmised, it won't be easy. Follow this link to first lab's site and it explains many of the services offered.

You might want to give a little more details. Your question is vague and it is hard for me to come up with anything that might help answer this. What state do you live in? How long have you been in the program? Have you completed intensive outpatient or inpatient, has the counselor or lcdc said that you are ready to return to work?

Generally speaking, they will want AT LEAST one clean drug test from you before you're allowed to return to work. More often than not, you will give them more than one clean drug test before returning to work.

Your case manager will be the one deciding when you can go back to work, but then again, it all depends on what state and program you are in because they vary.

Getting a job while in recovery is difficult and there are many posts here on that subject. Just write and ask if you have more questions.
