Depends on what your goal is. If you goal is to become an LVN and to get working then go for it. If your goal is an RN, make sure this LVN program can transfer to an LPN to RN program and go for it. No shame in a vocational school if it accomplishes your goal.
Good luck!

I started out as a CNA, then went to LVN school, two years later I got my BSN (I already had most of prereqs before going to LVN school), and now I am in CRNA school. LVN school is a great place to start your nursing career, especially if there is a long waiting list to get into RN school.
there is a rn program... so as soon as im done with the lvn..i plan on doing the rn program there.. and then transfering to another school for bsn...another scary things is the price... it is 33,000 for the lvn and then 38,000 for the rn program....i know there are loans i can apply for.. but is it worth it??? Also, i always hear about LPN... what is LPN???
Ouch...that is expensive. Only you can make the determination if it is worth it or not.
LPN/LVN are the same thing. Most states use LPN (Licensed Practical Nurse).

Holy moley! That's a lot of money. How long are the waitlists at the other schools?
I was on the waitlist at my school for 2 years. But paying 10,000 for the RN program at my current school versus 20,000 for the LPN program at a different school was worth it for me to wait.
SO i guess it just depends on what your situation is now and how long you are willing to wait.
