Confused about my interview.....

So....after my first nursing job interview a few years ago, I was offered the position on the spot. I just had an interview today for which I was flown from my current state to the state in which the hospital is in, all expenses paid by the hospital (after an over the phone interview with the senior recruiter and department hiring manager). I had another interview today with hiring manager as well as a hospital tour and was told that I would be contacted within the next 2 days....has this ever happened to you, and if so, what was the outcome? I am kinda nervous. I was kind of hoping I would be offered a position today.....
