Did you pass the TEAS? I'm also interested in the ASN with Florida National College. I contacted the admission office and they did mention to me that I had to take the TEAS to be consider. The guy I spoke with mention that this is the second class. The first class started last year in May 2009. Supposedly the first class made 100 on the nclex. I have most of my pre-req completed. I'm only missing 4 of them. I like the program because it is regionally accredited. This means that I could transfer to a regionally accre. school like FAU. Also, it is a 1 year program once I complete the pre-req. If I pass the TEAS, I'm planning on taking the last 4 pre-req left so that I can start the program in May 2011. I also like the fact that is a M-F from 4 to 10 and clinicals are on weekends. Each credit is $525, so it's approx. $24,000 for the one year I need. Please let me know how it goes for you.

I decided NOT to attend FNC for the nursing program. I do not like the fact that every two months you are switching classes.. I just do not think thats enough time to do what needs to be done. I do not doubt that it's a good school, and that they are making it Florida National University and will offer a B.S.N. is good.. but it's not my cup of tea.

I was told the RN program in total is 42,000.. which to me sounds a bit on the pricey side. I would check out Miami Dade College before signing anything with FNC.

These are just my opinions, and please do as your heart tells you.. but check around.. never settle for something that sounds to good..

ok it is a lot of missleading info in here. in order to be a nurse you need 3 things 1) pre req. like anatomy and physiology, chemestry, etc. or the A.A in nursing wich is the same but add statistics an then you have to take your 2)core nursing clsses if you get accepted and it is just 24.000 dollars , you can take at maimi dade college your pre req. and then when you graduate for nursing in associates in nursing you can do your bachelors if u want. yes FNC has bachelors but it is not doing great for the price but hey! it is online.

of course if you do ur pre req. at FNC it is going to be 45.000 dollars

other thing of ocurse they accept people from their school first , i was lucky that the program started and the first group of them were still taking pre req. and they accepted people all over other schools. now i think is different

other things is yes you can check Miami Dade or other school the problem is to get accepted.
