Combining assessments question...

Hi all,

I am an RN with 25+ years experience, yet new to MDS...

here's my question...

If my resident is admitted snf (ot,pt,st)and discharges (return not anticipated) on day 9 which assessments can I combine?

rehab has requested a 5 day ARD on day 8 for their best RUG

I know that I dont have to do an admission assessment since d/c date was before day 14..

I know that I need a 5 day PPS and a disch / OBRA... am I correct to assume that I need to do these as 2 separate assessments since the 2 ARD's cant match ( 5-day is set at the last grace day and disch ARD must be the date of d/c which is day 9)

Any tricks ??????

any help is appreciated as I have only a few months experience in MDS an virtually no support system at work ...

Yes, 2 separate assm'ts. Just copy the info from the 5-day and change the ARD.

thanks for the quick reply.....

we use Keane software...

and for some reason none of my 3.0 info carries over from one assessment to the next like the 2.0 did..... with the exceptive of the demographics in section A...

any other Keane users have a solution??? I have to do every single assessment from scratch and with the new full d/c assessments Im drowning !!!!
