Hi all!
I'm relatively new here. I am looking forward to the future towards entering a CRNA program, hopefully at Columbia University, which is my first choice. Anyone know much about the program there? I know the minimum requirements stated on their website. But do they look more at grades, experience, interview, or what?? I want to go there so badly, I can almost taste it. I'm currently working in float pool right now (just graduated last June) :) and will apply into Critical Care next year.
Thanks all and good luck to everyone!!!

last i heard, columbia just sends you an acceptance/denial letter.. apparently, personal interviews are not part of their process (seems a bit odd, but whatever) - i think columbia's program is an integrated one, where class and clinical are together from the start.. other programs are front loaded, which means all classroom for atleast a year, then clinical begins..
sorry for the error.. columbia appears to be clinical beginning may (end of first yr).. but it's what i had heard anyway..

Columbia started their interview process last year. My friend is in the program right now. Many of the studentss accepted are students that did the RN to BSN or second degree student with the school accerelated program. I heard is pretty hard ( but what program is not). I heard the clinical is pretty intense, but unlike many school in New York they try to follow the school academic calender ( vacation and so on). Overall I heard the program is pretty good. You have to keep your gpa up.
