college problems

I'm currently a freshman at Northern Illinois University. They are said to have an amazing program and that's why I picked it. Sadly I was denied early admission, but I still decided to stick it out at NIU. I just finished my first semester and I'm finding that NIU isn't my dream college....I have applied to Trinity Christian College...but I just really need some advice...

1. should I just suck it up and stay at NIU...?

2. does anyone have information about Trinity?

3. is there a way to compare the two?

Also I have already visited Trinity and stayed a weekend, absolutely love the campus

Hey jwallace422!

Personally from my own experience I have found that it does not really matter which school you go to, I would just pick the school that will get you to your goal. When I was looking at colleges what helped me to decide was looking up and comparing their NCLEX pass rates ultimatly that is what nursing school is preparing you for! Good luck!

I looked at the scores, NIU was 99% pass rate and Trinity was I think 82%....I don't know how competitive Trinity is but I know NIU is almost impossible....haha they have so many people apply and they only accept 60 for fall 60 for spring...

Wow you cant argue with results like that, but I guess I would say apply to both nursing programs. It sounds like you really feal that transfering may be a better route for you. Just be carful I looked at transfering to a private christian college and they would not accept transfer credits. Good luck!
