I know my mom went to Tunxis Community College's program. It is in Farmington CT and it's on the busline if you don't have transportation. I think the cost is managable but I don't remember the costs exactly. Also Goodwin College, I think has CNA training. Also check with the high school in New Britain to see if they offer adult ed version of their CNA program. I got my CNA from New Britain High but it was while I was a student there. Good luck! If you can at all manage it, why not go for the LPN. EC Goodwin offers it (it's located across from Chamberlain Elementary School) and New England Tech on John Downey Drive. I wish you the best of luck!New Britain is pretty much hopeless in terms of jobs......unfortuneatly.

You can enter your zip code and it will list the addresses of nearby Red Cross centers to call. In LA I am about to take the course...
However does anyone know about CNA requirements- is it possible to take the CNA course online- cause I have seen it offered- and with my busy school schedule- it would be GREAT! And cheaper! Anyone knows the authenticity of those programs???
thanks

HI, I know that you posted a while ago, but just in case you haven't found any classes yet. There is Educational Training of Wethersfield. It is one of the more expensive places, but its worth it.
