I am an older student looking to start CNA training courses very soon. However, I am confused about my options.
I am a student living in Oklahoma City and I am wondering if there are any CNAs out there in my area that have taken training courses. I know that the Moore-Norman Technology Center offers CNA training courses, but I was told yesterday by someone there that the class takes 20 weeks to complete.
I am hoping that there is another institution in the area that offers CNA certification in less time. If anyone is in the OKC metro/Moore-Norman area, I would be ever grateful for your advice. I am just looking for some first-person perspective about CNA training.
Thank you for your time.

I'm not in the OKC metro area, but I do know that OSU-OKC was offering a free CNA training program as recently as a couple of years ago. If OSU still offers a CNA program, this a possibility you might want to further explore.

I am a CNA and I got my certification at OSU-OKC. They have a 2 week program where you go all day or a 4 week program if you can only do evenings. I think the class was around $700 or you can sign a contract where you work in a Medicaid/Medicare facility for 12 months and the class is free. I chose this option and I have already finished my year.
