Hi, I just finished my CNA class yesterday, and I also received my email to sign up for my state test! I was wondering if anyone has any tips or suggestions on passing the skills section of the test. I have heard horror stories of failing. I did great in class, I think I'm just going to be nervous when I get in there to do it. I'm worried I'm going to skip the most obvious step and be sho mass at my self lol. Any help will be greatly appreciated!

Just stop and think about what you're doing. Say everything out loud.
Take your time.
Stop and think before you say you're done.
Think, patient safety/privacy, & hand washing. When in doubt, do it.
You got this!!
p.s. did you know that once you start working in a medicare/medicaide facility (in Michigan)such as a nursing home or hospital, the state will pay you back for the cost of your class..(If you paid out of pocket for your class)? You are paid back through the facility where you work so ask about it when you are hired.
