U.S.A. Florida

i am looking for an internet site that list the skills needed for the pratical part of the CNA exam. I am a current EMT looking to challenge the CNA exam and took CNA training a few years back but never tested I just need to refresh on my skills. If anyone can help i'd greatly appreciate it.

Go to experioronline.com and download the test prep information. Experior is the company that administers the CNA tests in FL. Everything you need to know is on thier site.

Also this is the state site with info RE the CNA test, challenging, etc. http://www.doh.state.fl.us/Mqa/cna/cna_home.html

A fes things I'm not sure the literature tells you, that are VERY important: knock when entering the patient area, introduce yourself, always pull the curtain for privacy, explain to the patient what you will be doing, and ask the patient's permission to perform the procedure. Then go wash your hands!

Good luck!

thanks for the info!!!

I was looking at the transition programs for LPN to RN (that's what I'm doing) at my local community college, and they have a EMT to RN transition program. If it's offered here (St. Pete College and Hillsborough CC) it's probably offered at your CC, too.

Just thought I'd share!
