Hello everyone,I have a question regarding lpn school and I thought this was a great place get the answer! Im currently a cna/hha.The school im attending is a technical school an outta the 1350 credit hrs 100 of them are cna training but since im already a cna and have been working as one for 8months now will I still be required to take those 100hrs of cna training? Any insight would be so helpful! Thank you all:rolleyes:

I would think so, since you may learn something new. It is never a waste of time. I will also make you look better in the beginning since you know Cna stuff already..:)

Some schools won't make you go through that training again but they do advise that you go through it again as a refresher course. I am a CNA and have been since 2007. I start LPN school tomorrow and I am definitely going through the entire program because I think it will help me to go through all of it again! :)

As long as it doesn't cost extra, I would take the course again. Since you will be in an LPN program, they may teach you some of the WHY's of the skills and tasks, rather than just teaching HOW like they do for CNAs. Plus is never hurts to be refreshed on the correct ways to do skills.
