CNA interview

Published

I am about to start my 4th semester for RN in August. I have been trying since spring to get a job as a CNA in a hospital. I finally have an interview next week for a part-time pool position. I have been self employed with my husband for the last 15 years and have not been on an interview for longer than that, so I am a little nervous. Can anyone give me some advice on what to expect at the interview and possible questions that will be asked.

I am an older student and have never worked in the healthcare field so this is all new to me.

Any advice is greatly appreciated.

Patty

I wish you the best of luck! Typically if you have no CNA experience it is very difficult to land a hospital job. However, one of my good friends in semester 2 of nursing school got a PCT job at a local hospital with less than a year of experience so I would say you have a good shot! :)

Just stay positive and if you don't get it this time apply at an LTC and try again in a few months when you can say you have experience.
