CNA Information

Best advise is to just take the test in Arkansas. Once she has her registration there she can probably apply to the Texas registry (most states have similar CNA training guidelines based on a some legislation passed in the 80s) I took my test in Indiana and am on the registry for Illinois and Michigan as well. Hope that helps some. You can also search the Texas Department of Health website for more into (remember CNA's follow under DOH not SBON)

I am from Texas. My daughter is currently going to school in Arkansas taking the CNA course. She is wanting to move to Texas to start her career. She has 2 weeks left until she completes the course. Does she have to take the "skills test" portion in Arkansas, or can she come to Texas to do that? I have no information on the rules or procedures of Texas concerning this. Any help will be greatly appreciated!!!

I think you would just take the test and get certified in Arkansas, and then when they come to Texas they will have to apply for a CNA Reciprocity.
