CNA to Dialysis Tech

Hi Everyone,

I am a fresher here.

I and my wife got CNA certification in CA on Aug 2010 and been working in Skilled Nursing Care Center(CA 92804) for 1 year.

I got 18-20 patient in my Night Shift (4 Days On - 2 Days off) and feel like jumping to PCT(Dialysis Tech)

And we both willing to do RN too. We guess, it would be much easier to study RN as DT than CNA.

Would you please advise us about our decision and if it's good Da Vita or any other can help us to become success in our path?

Please write anything you feel.

Your advises are HIGHLY APPRECIATED as we just 1.5 years in USA

Yes Davita is a good company to work for as a PCT. They do offer tuition reinbursment if you get accepted to a RN program. They will work around your schedule once in nursing school. They also offer the RN to BSN reinbursment also. You will have to take a state certification test within 18 months after employment. Good Luck!
