Clinical refresher courses?

Not sure where else to post this.. I graduated a year ago, I decided to stay with my present job for a few months after graduation for an extra bonus to get the business "to the next level". When the time came to leave my job I was offered a generous raise (beating the average nursing salary in my area) and made the decision to stay. Now I don't think my degree was a waste because it presented me with the greater salary, however I am having second thoughts about not pursing my nursing career. I've read and been hearing that getting a job as a new grad is almost impossible these days, and I can't imagine being considered for a position a year out of school with no experience. So does anyone know of any clinical refresher courses in NJ, or would I be better off just trying to volunteer or even take a position as a nurses aid for a short time or something.
