clinical issues and technology?

I am taking an informatics class and I have to identify a clinical issue in the workplace that can be solved by technology. For instance, patient teaching solved by a patient portal. Of course with private duty, my company does not use any technology, we do not use electronic health records (I wish), in fact, I rarely see another nurse, unless I turnover in a home case. I do a lot of school nursing. In home nursing, I wish the families were more open to teaching...and I would love to have all the cases on a web portal - I used to work for a company that did all their staffing on a secure portal. It was so much better than texting and calling, which is what my current agency does now.

I would love to hear from those of you working private duty like me, I feel like I have no real issues compared to those working in hospitals and large facilities.
