Hi. I've been reading these forums for awhile, but never figured I needed an account. Until now!
So, I'm first semester of an ADN and it's a very small cohort, so naturally we've gotten along and become decent friends among each other.
Anyway, one of my classmates failed out due to too low test average, and I was wondering what I could do or say to show support. It seemed so unexpected and she did really great in clinicals and I think she would make a great nurse. I just want to help her understand she's not a failure. I don't want to make it worse since I'm really bad with this stuff. I'm also just really sad in general. I thought all of us would be up there one day, graduating, but this is just the beginning, huh? Advice?

This is just the beginning.
Also, realize that while other students may think that a peer may be a great nurse, they have no real-life basis for comparison or perspective.
Yep, this is just the beginning.
