What are the benefits of working for a Magnet Hospital vs. a hospital that is "affiliated" with a Magnet Hospital???

Can For Profit Hospitals go for Magnet?

I work for a Magnet Hospital that just got it 2mos. ago, but I am interviewing with a non magnet one.

But the non magnet one has a partnership with a Magnet one...

Does this make sense? HB

The hospital that is "affiliated" with the Magnet hospital is nothing more than that, affiliated. They are a different hospital entity.

The only Magnet hospital I've worked at was also the University hospital for a worldwide known medical school. Excellent working environment, great benefits but I can't say it's because it was the Magnet status or the University status.

Do a search on Magnet hospitals here; there's a lot of info.
