I am new grad RN working on a stroke floor and I hate it. I've been here for 3 months and I want to get out. I love the hospital that I work at, but what I don't like is my co-workers. I have already spoke with my managers about going to another floor and they have brushed me off. I have heard that it is a good idea to talk to HR. Please let me know if this has been effective or not...

Find out what jobs are available that you are interested in and then talk to the manager of that unit about letting you transfer there.
HR can tell you what the policies for transfers are, such as in my facility you must have six months in a unit in good standing - meaning no write ups, and there must be an accepting unit. You're short tenure there might be the reason you're getting the brush off, because you don't qualify under their policies to transfer.
Talking to your current manager isn't going to help you. Managers don't like losing employees to other units. Talking to the manager of the unit you want to transfer too will. If they don't accept you, then you can't transfer. I've transfered twice within the facility I'm currently working.
Good luck!
