Hi Everyone,
I've recently decided that I want to go to the accelerated BSN program at UMDNJ. I am a Senior at TCNJ right now with an exact GPA of 3.00. I am sure my GPA will go up from that by the time I complete my credits in the summer. I have A's in Anatomy 1 and 2 B in General Chemistry havent taken micro yet but I'm sure I'll do well in it. The other requirements i have nothing less than a B+. I've also volunteered at the NICU at Jersey Shore for 5 months and will have an internship next semester at either a Pediatrician or OB/GYN office. Long story short, provided I do well in micro and my GPA goes up are my chances at UMDNJ good? I'll probably apply for Spring 2014. I'm also getting a job as a PCA so that will give me even more healthcare experience. Suggestions and ideas are welcome thanks everyone!

Sounds like you'll be fine. I did well in my major and my prereqs....but my grades were nothing incredibly impressive and I got in. However, I do have a very solid resume, references, and essay. As long as you put some effort into getting some good references I think you're more than fine.

I think you will get in with that. My grades were similar to yours without a medical background and I got in. Like Iliana said... Good references, resume and personal statement should only help. Good luck!
