CES Report from CGFNS

Hi,

I am s foreign educated nurse, i applied for the CES a few month ago and got the report. It says I have 0 clinical practice in Maternsl/infant and nursing care of children.

Now, my question is to anyone who have had the same report, what did you do to get those Clinical hours. Called a few school as the Ohio board told me, they said i have to enroll and start over.

Did anybody have the same experience?

what did you do?

I really don't see myself going back to school to start from zero, just for missing clinical hours.

Thanks,

All you can do is ring around different places including different states and see if you can find a school willing to let you do just these courses. Once you find a place make sure with the BON that they will accept it

hI. i had the same problem but in three different nursing fields. I called my school of nursing, in this case my University, and they managed to let me do a few additional hours in the hospital where I did my internships. After that my school sent a letter to CGFNS stating I took thhe additional clinical hours and now I do have my CES report. It took me an extra 3 months...I'm currently waiting for a reply from the BON I applied to. Best of luck
