Certified Diabetes Educator

Hello,

I am in an ADN program out in California and am possibly interested in becoming a certified diabetes educator. I have a general idea on the road map of becoming one, but am interested (outside of the pay scale) in the pros and cons of being a certified diabetes educator. As an example, stress levels compared to being in a med surg unit.... Please advise.. Thanks
