CDCR Hiring Process

@sunshinehause so I had an interview January 9 and by January 31st I was offered the job. Where did you apply and interview?

I had an interview February 19 at the Stockton California health care facility, but I still haven’t heard anything? I felt that my interview went very good, but my license is on probation so I’m not so sure? I have never even worked as a nurse yet, the nursing board issued my license this way after graduation because of a 13 year old offense. So I don’t know ??‍♀️

Is it normal to wait so long to hear the results of an interview? I interviewed for another facility at Mule creek prison in Ione California, it took them 2 weeks to send me a denial letter.

@sunshinehauseI’d be proactive and call the HR in healthcare for that facility. I too called and she was able to give me an update. I know the state likes transparency so if you were honest with your background and your license situation its not always a bad thing but it may take long for them to decide whether they want to hire you or not.

I applied to two places in California, for CDCR and also a State hospital. I got a job interview date for both but had to cancel because I couldn’t find anyone to switch days with me.

I was told I had to reapply again. I re-applied for CDCR 90 days ago, haven’t heard back. I’m still waiting for a job opening to show up for the State hospital.

I’ll call CDCR to follow up since it’s been over 90 day’s since my application. The job listing is still showing up on calcareers. The first time I applied, I got the interview date 2 weeks later.
