CCSF Fall 2015 RN program

To all who applied to CCSF Fall 2015 program, I decided to start this thread so we can keep each other updated on any news, and answer each other questions as they come.

I'm hoping they'll post their lottery results soon. Has anyone heard anything yet?

Thanks

They won't tell you over the phone, that's why I went in. The lottery is a database they use that randomly assigns each name a number, that's how they choose applicants, so if a person number is anywhere from 1-50 there in for sure, as long as their application was complete with requirements, you pass the teas and background check.

Okay thank you I was just wondering how your number determined your acceptance thanks that's helpful

Also, does anyone know the hours for the nursing office? I called and there was a message saying they are closed until Monday 23rd, but no mention of their regular open hours (couldn't find it online either). Thanks in advance!

I turned in my application 2 days before the cutoff and I was application number 141, for Spring 2015 they accepted 245 applications...so I think 700 might be a little steep. Hopefully they post results soon I am so anxious to start the program.

Too bad some one couldn't take a pic of the list and post it...

I have also applied for Fall 2015; it is my first time trying for this college. I tried to reach the office for information in regards to when will we be notify. No luck since campus is on break. Anyone have a clue on when the college will post the lottery list?

I went to the Nursing office Thursday, there was 328 applications. I was lottery #51...list is not posted you have to ask to see it at the window.

Thank you Dottie79 for the information. I'm not local...so I guess have to find time to go to SF for my name. I can't wait another 4 months or so lol!

Congrats on being 51, you are most likely going to get in. You should start studying for Teas and so on. If I am correct your number should be wait listed.

Let us know how things go for you and Good luck!

I went in, and they hand the list to you, and you find your own name. Unfortunately, I was mid-100's. Although, my friend went in last Wednesday, and they said too many people were coming in to see the list, and now they are no longer showing it. So, she did not get to see her lottery number... I don't know if that will be the case for everyone, but that's what happened to her. Maybe you'll get a staff member on a good day, and they'll make an exception - but, don't drive all the way out here if it's not guaranteed!

So if you're in the top 50 that means you're good? I thought it was top 100...it was my first time applying...

That's true Blink. If they decide not to show the name then it would be pointless for me to drive so far. I hope they send the letter after spring break so I know to continue with my plan....
