CCRI, URI, RIC

Published

Hi All,

I plan on trying to get into the nursing program,

and already have a BA degree in Public Relations from URI.

I need to start taking all my pre-requisite sciences, etc.

What I'm wondering is if I can take my prerequisites at CCRI,

then transfer to either URI or RIC. Also, does anyone know which college is the quickest to get into the program??

Thanks!!!

well it was just announced that tuition at URI will go up 8% compared to 4% for RIC this fall. as long as each of the colleges will accept prereq's from each other, i would take the class where it is the cheapest..most likely ccri..not sure about the waiting lists for the program at each..r u sure you want to go into nursing..not to discourage you but it doesnt look like a very promising position anytime soon!

URI does not accept transfer students, at least for nursing

I transferred into RIC from Umass where I took prereq's. Almost all were accepted and I still graduated in 4 yrs. RIC is an AMAZING nursing school. I highly recommend it!!!

Yes RIC accepts transfer students. URI does not. It even says it on their website. You could just stay at ccri and get your rn and then do your rn to bsn later.

Hahaha! I saw the title and aside from Upper Respiratory Infection couldn't figure out what the other abbreviations were for!!!1
